The question, “are you a Christian?” often answered “yes”, should be followed up by “what kind?” The answer can reveal that they’re simply not something else.

The question “are you a disciple of Jesus?” is an entirely different question. The 2 answers can be poles apart.

During my many years of leading, coaching and mentoring, it became obvious that while many Churches were good at both getting people through the front door and drawing them to Jesus in an act of powerful surrender, their approach and ability to help seedling Christians become well-built disciples was often lacking.
