On March 19th, 1932, the mighty Sydney Harbour Bridge was opened. It was the brainchild of arguably Australia’s greatest engineer and visionary. John Job Crew Bradfield. Looking into the future, he designed a bridge large enough to be an effective piece of transport infrastructure 100 years hence.

What should be at the core of our being? So many important things compete for pre eminence. In the context of our most important relationships, we are at our best for others when we are in pursuit of a vision. When anyone comes into vital relationship with God, the birth of great visions are automatic.

A compelling vision causes us to flourish. Its absence causes us to slowly perish. Ask the question, “what do I want my life to look like in 10 years time?” Wrestling with that makes us instant visionaries.

What should be at the core of our life?
