David began the task of personal reinvention in 2006. After many years and extensive experience in church leadership, affectionately known as the “people business,” he noticed that few were managing their personal worlds well, and very few were adequately preparing for their final two or three decades.

He began developing his mentoring practise with his own brand, ‘High Endeavours’. He specialises in self leadership, recovery from loss, stress minimisation and business & church leadership. After becoming a successful client with ‘Design a Decade’, he began facilitating this wonderful program also. He refers to it as the ‘Rolls Royce of coaching programs’.

David has held leadership roles at national, state and local levels. His career took him to various locations across New South Wales, Australia and internationally. He currently mentors in three nations while residing in the Northern Rivers region, enjoying the relaxed, coastal lifestyle.

David’s passions include his children and grandchildren, Australian history, golf, good coffee and most importantly, seeing others explore and realise their potential.

When David was eighteen, his father, a WWII fighter pilot, passed away in his early fifties from a heart attack. Since then, David has faced several seasons of grief, including the loss of his first wife, Marylin, in 2003; his eldest daughter, Belinda, a decade later; and most recently, his second wife, Tuula. These profound experiences of grief and stress have deeply influenced and motivated his work in these fields.

Stress and grief are every person experiences and David conducts one workshop to help people understand and minimize stress, and another to recover well from loss. He also conducts a workshop centred on the most important kind of leadership: ‘self’ leadership.

David has published four books: Grieve Upwards, Stress Less Live More, Charge at the Dark and Smile at the Future. Additionally, he has released five complimentary online books: Home Improvements, Divorce and Resurrection, The Indispensable Apostle, The Prayer Leaders Companion and Wake Up the Mighty.
